ADB, through RETA 8359, is organizing the development of a regional climate consortium and data facility to deliver robust and decision-oriented climate data and projections in support of climate risk and vulnerability assessment and adaptation planning. The scope of activities and modalities of implementation under the RETA will be discussed during the workshop.
The workshop aims to:
- establish common understanding on the purpose, scope of work and modalities of implementation of the technical assistance;
- review and prioritize user needs in accessing and using climate information and services to support climate resilient development in the region, particularly in pilot countries;
- refine the scope of work and modalities of implementation for the technical assistance to align technical assistance activities with priority needs in the region, particularly in pilot countries; and
- provide inputs to develop a first-order draft work plan for the entire technical assistance period (24 months), and a more detailed action plan for the next 6 months.
Representatives from implementing agencies in the 4 pilot countries- India, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand, international and regional climate centers, bilateral and multilateral agencies, and climate research institutes will participate in the workshop.Stay up to date Subscribe to our newsletter and get the latest issues, news, events, jobs and data in your e-mail inbox.
