Purpose / Background

In response to the growing demand for technical assistance in building climate resilience in Asia and the Pacific, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is considering to facilitate the development of a regional climate scenarios library (RCSL) as part of a broader set of technical resources. The RCSL is intended to enable scientifically sound climate change adaptation and risk management activities through enhanced access to a range of well-documented high resolution climate projections produced for the region.

Objectives

The workshop aims to scope the feasibility of the RCSL, to identify resource requirements and to establish a framework for collaboration. ADB is inviting experts from the climate modeling community, regional research centers and representatives of development finance organizations to participate in the event.
