Purpose

The Global Partnership for Education with the ADB Education Community of Practice as co-sponsor, are proud to launch the Reading Changed My Life photo and video contest. Submit a photo or video that shows how reading has impacted your life or the life of someone you know, and share with the world the importance of education and literacy.

Contest mechanics

The contest is open to all individuals over the age of 13.
 
Photos and videos may be submitted starting at 9:00 a.m. EST, September 7, 2012.  
 
Submissions may be uploaded on:

• Contest website
• Facebook
• Twitter

Photos and videos must be submitted in digital format with the following specifications:

Photos

• File size = 5 megabytes or smaller
• File format = .jpg or other image file format
• Resolution = at least 1,600 pixels wide or 1,600 pixels tall

Videos

• Length =  60 seconds or less
• Language = any language  (English, Spanish, or French subtitles are highly encouraged)
• Size = must not exceed 100mb
• Formats =  AVI, MOV, WMV, MP4, MPEG, FLV, 3GP, or 3G2 

Schedule of activities

• Start of submissions - 9:00 a.m. EST, 7 September 2012
• Deadline for submissions - 6:00 p.m. EST, 7 November 2012
• Voting phase - 7-21 November 2012
• Judging phase - 22- 27 November 2012
• Announcement of winners - 28 November 2012
