Water Malaysia 2011
Background
Water Malaysia is a biennial international water conference and exhibition organized by the Malaysian Water Association. The Conference is supported by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia, Water Supply Department (Jabatan Bekalan Air), National Water Service Commission, Water Asset Management Company and Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment.
The theme of Water Malaysia 2011 is “Managing Water & Wastewater with Sustainable Future.” The conference will feature keynote addresses by renowned speakers; provide a platform for all water professionals to share recent experiences in water projects; and showcase water products, services, technologies and applications.
Malaysian water utilities have been providing much needed assistance to a number of water utilities in ADB’s developing member countries, through partnerships that provide peer-to-peer knowledge exchange to promote improvements in operational and financial performance. ADB is one of the sponsors of Water Malaysia 2011, and is preparing for a presentation on its Water Operators Partnerships (WOPs) program.
