Shanxi Energy Efficiency and Environment Improvement Project
Senior Finance Specialist Merlita Pajarillo talks about a USD100 million ADB loan to the People's Republic of China that will expand the coverage of district heating to more than 270,000 residents in five highly polluted urban areas of Shanxi province. It will also build a gas supply and distribution network that will provide coal mine methane gas to 30,000 households and several establishments in one of the areas.
