The directory of development organizations is a resource guide to development organizations in the Internet. The directory aims to promote interaction and active partnerships among governments, private sector and key civil society, including NGOs, trade unions, faith-based organizations, indigenous people’s movements, foundations and research centers. USAID/Azerbaijan and the USAID Center for Democracy and Governance produced the report, Azerbaijan Civil Society Sector Assessment. The study evaluates the state of development of the Azerbaijan civil society and to provide recommendations for the future of USAID civil society assistance.

The Civil Society Project is the USAID’s 5-year initiative in Azerbaijan, launched in 2005 and implemented by Counterpart International in partnership with Urban Institute and International Center for Not-for-Profit Law. The goal of this program is to assist citizens and government of Azerbaijan to develop a dialogue while working towards creation of a more representative and better functioning democracy.
