ADB seeks to develop a more systematic engagement with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) by improving its understanding of civil society activities in various developing countries in Asia and the Pacific. ADB recognizes the need to be aware of the roles CSOs play in promoting development across the Asia-Pacific region, and the environment within which they operate.
