19-20 July Workshop: Reviewing the Poverty Impacts of Regional Economic Integration
The workshop , held in ADB Headquarters on 19-20 July, brought together researchers and policymakers from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, and Thailand to showcase findings from a study carried out on border poverty, regional economic integration, and gender impacts in border communities.

Donors-ADB 8th strategy meeting: National Poverty Reduction Strategy Fund and Poverty Reduction Cooperation Fund (NPRS-PRF)

Representatives from the Government of the Netherlands and DFID, UK will meet with ADB to review implementation progress of the funds, assess preliminary outcomes and impacts of fund-supported activities on ADB operations, and discuss steps for closure.

Second Regional Workshop: Reviewing Poverty Impact of Regional Integration in the GMS

The 2-day workshop [ PDF ] brought together researchers and experts from premier research institutes from four countries, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Lao PDR and Thailand to deliberate on research findings, and analyses from qualitative and quantitative research on livelihoods, poverty, and vulnerability in the border provinces and towns of the Greater Mekong Subregion. Director General of the Southeast Asia Department and Special Advisor on Regional Economic Integration and Cooperation Rajat Nag spoke at the closing session. Learn more about the project.
