C & P Toolkit

The C&P Toolkit is an online resource to assist development practitioners in applying participatory methods.

The Toolkit includes a range of basic information materials relevant to those with little experience with C&P, as well as more sophisticated resources for those who have already designed and implemented projects with substantial beneficiary involvement.

Included here is ADB's Staff Guide to Consultation and Participation, which provides a succinct overview of C&P in ADB-assisted activities. The Guide provides practical tools and tips to make C&P more accessible and effective in improving the performance of ADB operations. The remainder of the Toolkit builds on the Guide by providing more in-depth information and practical tools to assist practitioners in their work.

Another section of the Toolkit features templates to help in conducting stakeholder analysis, recording stakeholder input, facilitating meetings, and engaging consultants to assist with C&P in projects.

You will also find a wealth of additional materials on C&P, including guides and handbooks used by ADB and other development agencies, case studies organized by sector and theme, and a description of C&P methods and approaches.
