Managing Ongoing Projects
Since 1967, ADB has been actively extending its support to development programs in the Philippines through lending and technical assistance programs and projects. As of December 2005, we have provided a total of 195 public sector loans amounting to approximately US$ 8.8 billion, and 316 technical assistance projects amounting to about US$142 million. ADB's assistance covers all major social and economic sectors, such as agriculture, natural resources, energy, transport, and social infrastructure. Policy dialogue and reform measures conducted in association with the lending and technical assistance activities have helped the Government and other development partners address constraints to development and problems affecting timely implementation of development projects, as well as build required institutional and implementation capacity for the Government's project management and project implementation agencies. As of to-date, there are 23 ongoing projects. ADB's continued support and assistance to the ongoing projects include:
