Funding Innovations for Poverty Reduction

To promote innovation and support capacity development for poverty reduction in partner countries, ADB administers special multi-donor poverty funds. These are:


Do you know: In July 2008, ADB's Board of Directors adopted the Donors' Report for the 10th replenishment of the Asian Development Fund (ADF). The report contains the main understandings and recommendations reached at the four ADF X negotiation meetings. For 2009-2012 donors and ADB together pledged USD 11.3 billion of concessional financing for the 24 poor and post-conflict countries in Asia and Pacific. 60% of the new funding is coming from ADB internal resources.
