Board of Directors

Members of the ADB Board of Directors supervise the institution’s financial statements, approve its administrative budget, and decide on all policy documents as well as loan, grant and equity investments made by ADB. 

The 12 members of the ADB Board of Directors are elected by the Board of Governors. Eight of the 12 are elected from within Asia and the Pacific and four others are elected from outside the region. The Board of Directors performs its duties full time at the ADB headquarters in Manila, Philippines. The President of ADB chairs the Board of Directors.
