Official events: The official events, namely the Opening Session and the Business Sessions, will take place on 4 and 5 May 2013. These events are open to all participants.
Accompanying Persons Program (APP): The details of the program, including sightseeing in Delhi and its environs, will be posted on the host country website when available.
Knowledge sharing events: Seminars on financial and topical development issues, and country presentations, will take place on 2-5 May 2013. Read more

Restricted official networking events will require invitations, which will be available at registration. Registered participants do not need invitations to events that are open to all participants.
Check-in and check-out times: Check-in is normally 2:00 pm. Participants arriving in the early morning may wish to book for the night before arrival. Check-out is normally 12:00 noon.

Settlement of accounts: Participants should settle their accounts, including charges for accommodation (deducting the advance deposit), and incidental costs, such as fax, telephone, room service, and laundry, directly with the hotels.
It is highly recommended that all participants take out comprehensive personal travel insurance, cover for personal belongings, and comprehensive medical insurance to cover any accident or illness.

Airport transfer: The Indira Gandhi International Airport is the primary international airport of the National Capital Region of Delhi. It is situated in South West Delhi, 16 kilometers south west of New Delhi city centre. The total distance from the airport to Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh is around 49 kilometers with a one hour estimated travel time. Cab fare would cost about 1000 Rs from Delhi to Greater Noida.

You must get a visa before arriving in India from the nearest Indian mission. An onward travel ticket is a requirement for most visas, but this is not always enforced (check in advance), except for the 72-hour transit visa.

Climate: The climate of Delhi is a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical with high variation between summer and winter temperatures and precipitation. Summers start in early April and peak in May, with average temperatures near 32 °C, although occasional heat waves can result in highs close to 45 °C on some days. Currency exchange and banking: The Indian rupee (Rs) notes come in Rs 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000. The Indian rupee is linked to a basket of currencies and its value is generally stable.
ATMs linked to international networks are available in most towns and cities in India. However, it is advisable to carry cash or travelers checks as backup in case the ATM is out of order.
Passport must be presented whenever currency or travelers checks are changed.

Electric current: Electricity in India is 240 Volts. You will require a voltage converter if you are carrying a device that does not accept 240 Volts at 50 Hertz. Outlets in India generally accept the following types of plug:
International Direct Dialing (IDD): To make an international call to India: first dial the IDD (double 0 or +), then country code (91 for India), the area or city code (011 for Delhi), and the local number.

Languages: The official language of Delhi is Hindi. Since the Hindu population is dominant in the city, most of the people converse in Hindi only. English has become a widely used medium of communication in the capital city. Guides, shopkeepers and even the taxi drivers speak English. Read more
Meals: Eating out in India is sizzling-hot value, with budget restaurant meals for as little as Rs40 (even less at the more basic street eateries), and usually from around double that for a satiating midrange restaurant feed.
