ADB has launched a series of regional studies on the economics of climate change to help enable Developing Member Countries (DMCs) to arrive at important policy decisions concerning climate change adaptation and mitigation and green growth.
The ADB side event will present preliminary findings of two regional studies on the economics of climate change in Northeast Asia and the Pacific. The studies address the costs of both mitigation and adaptation measures; and also include policy recommendations on regional cooperation and promotion of green growth.
Representatives of country delegations will have a deeper understanding of the economics of climate change in the regions, including the costs of climate change action and inaction. ADB delegates will gain feedback on the studies and relevant knowledge on the key issues and aspects of the global climate negotiations.
Representatives from government delegations, climate change specialists from IGOs and NGOs, business sector leaders, and media.
