The proposed SSTA will support processing of the Project by financing consultants to conduct (i) a resettlement study; and (ii) a poverty and social impact analysis.

The output of the study will be (i) a Resettlement Plan prepared in accordance with ADB's Policy on Involuntary Resettlement, detailing the extent and type of resettlement issue, and providing recommendations for the implementation of mitigating measures; (ii) a social profile of the study area and the incidence of poverty; and (iii) assessment of the expected benefits generated in the road's zone of influence, expressed in terms of the magnitude and the social distribution of benefits.

This TA was formally part of PPTA Road Network Improvement II.

Consulting Services The SSTA will be undertaken by individually selected international consultants. A total of 5 person-months of specialists' inputs will be required. The expertise required will include poverty analysis, econometrics, and resettlement planning and management. The consultants will be engaged by the ADB in accordance with ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants.
Procurement Procurement of goods/civil works are not required.
