Description

The TA wil finance two studies: (i) rebalancing and sustaining growth in the People's Republic of China, and (ii) human capital development in developing Asia.

Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy

The R RDTA aims to support the establishment of research alliances between ADB and reputable regional and global research institutions and, through which, to undertake collaborative studies on selected development issues critical to inclusive growth and poverty reduction in developing Asia.

Development Impact

The impact of the TA will be more evidence-based policy development in developing Asia in general, and the PRC in particular.

Project Outcome

Description of Outcome
The outcome of the TA will be deeper understanding of key development challenges for developing Asia, particularly (i) the PRC's challenges and policy options in rebalancing its economy and making growth sustainable, and (ii) developing Asia's challenges, constraints, and policy options in human capital development.
