1.    The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Wuhan Wastewater and Stormwater Management Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contracts of equipment for Changqing Pumping Station (Phase I) (the Goods and related services).

2.    Instrimpex International Tendering Company (the Procurement agent, CNIITC), authorized and on behalf of Wuhan Urban Construction Utilization of Foreign Investment Project Management Office (the Purchaser), now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of the following Goods and related services:

1. Vertical Pull-out Type Pump with Mixed Flow Impeller
2. Motor
3. Two Years Spare Parts and Specific Tools

3.    International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4.    Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from CNIITC, and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below from 24 June 2009 to 5 August 2009 at working time 8:30-11:30, 13:30-16:30.

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, bidders should:

1. visit the office of CNIITC at the address indicated below and pay a nonrefundable fee of RMB 2000 or USD285 in cash or cashier's cheque.

   or

2. request for delivery by sending a written application to CNIITC at the address indicated below. The application must include a cashier's check of RMB2,100 for local delivery or $305 for overseas delivery. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.    Bids must be delivered:

• to the Meeting Room at the Purchaser's address given below;
• on or before 9:30 a.m. (Beijing Time) on 5 August 2009. Late bids shall be rejected.

7.    All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total Bid Price in the bid currency.

Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the Meeting Room at the Purchaser's address given below at 9:30 a.m. (Beijing Time) on 5 August 2009.

8.    CNIITC and the Purchaser will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.

9.    In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
