Description The objectives of the TA are to: (i) review the existing policy, institutional and legal frameworks of water resources management sector relating to rehabilitation and management of irrigation infrastructure; (ii) carry out a comprehensive feasibility study for (a) rehabilitation and improvement of selected key irrigation infrastructure facilities; (b) promotion of government's policy and institutional reform options of agriculture and water resources in selected areas; and (iii) develop a comprehensive investment package for possible ADB financing taking into consideration policy and institutional requirements and enabling conditions at the national and local levels that are critical to the sustainability of the Project.

Consulting Services The TA will require approximately 18 person-months of international consultants and 70 person-months of domestic consultants. Expertise is required in the areas of civil and mechanical engineering, irrigation and drainage rehabilitation, development of water users association, economic, social and environmental impact analysis.
