Summary

The proposed RETA is consistent with ADB's policy on ANRR, and also reinforces the priorities outlined in ADB's Medium-Term Strategy II and the Enhanced Poverty Reduction Strategy. The RETA aims at increasing incomes of farmer household and reducing rural poverty in the participating DMCs. The outcome of the RETA is to promote agricultural research and dissemination, and enhance the policy dialogue on the role of agriculture and rural development in alleviating poverty.
