Description

It is proposed that ADB provide an Indonesian rupiah-denominated loan of up to $45 million equivalent with a risk participation arrangement with PROPARCO for up to $15 million equivalent for the reconstruction of PT Semen Andalas Indonesia's (SAI) cement facility which was destroyed by the tsunami in Aceh. SAI is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Lafarge Group of France which is one of world leaders in the building materials business covering cement, roofing, aggregates, concrete and gypsum with operations in 75 countries worldwide including 8 countries in Asia.
