Description The Project aims to help Baiyin City improve the living standards of its people and strengthen the economic potential of the city by providing the municipal services and urban infrastructures that will meet the current needs and put in place necessary condition for future development.
Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy Baiyin is located in western PRC. Support for uran development, particularly for cities located in less developed interior provinces, is one of the identified strategic operational areas of focus of ADB as specified in PRC Country Strategy and Prgoram for 2003-2007 and its subsequent CSP updates.
