Summary

1) Conduct and disseminate in-depth studies of interest to the Government of the People's Republic of China on selected areas of development experience in India.

2) Conduct and disseminate in-depth studies of interest to the Government of India on selected areas of development experience in the PRC.

3) Conduct initial assessment on the potential of economic cooperation between PRC and India.

4) Based on lessons from the PRC and India, prepare a concise analytic report on wider development policy issues of interest to other developing/middle income countries in the region and disseminate the study findings.

Consulting Services An international development specialist to be engaged intermittently for 7 person months will help the steering committee supervise the program of studies and coordinate the activities.
