The TA aims to improve the capacity of the Government in promoting PSD. The main intended outcomes of the TA are (i) the Government's understanding of its role as an 'enabler' of the private sector, (ii) effective engagement and active leadership of the Government in simplifying business regulations and creating a favorable environment for PSD, and (iii) mainstreaming and strengthening of business promotion and advisory services by the Government.
The expected outputs of the TA include (i) policy advice including that for coordination of PSDS implementation, (ii) assessment and development of the Government's capacity for PSD, and (iii) development of a concept of investment and business promotion for Tajikistan and assistance to a few businesses for demonstration purposes.
