The Project supports the strategy of the PRC Government to promote renewable energy development, aiming to increase the total installed capacity of wind power by about five times, from 6.1 gigawatts in 2007 to 30.0 gigawatts by 2020, and to enlarge the share of renewable energy in the country s power generation portfolio from 8% in 2007 to 20% in 2020.
