Progress Toward Outcome | As of September 2018, most of the main tasks under each component have been completed. Financial progress is on track, there is no major delay in withdrawals and payments. While there are some delays in some sub-activities and some additional activities required to be completed during the proposed project extension period from July 2018 to June 2019 such as enterprise registration development and RIA. |

Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues) | As of Sept. 2018, Data analysis of the Central Office Enterprise Registry Management databases has been conducted including writing an application to compare the two databases. As of March 2018, 27 auto-run business registration offices were rolled-out. 18 out 27 offices are in provinces and 9 are district offices in Vientiane capital. 2. Regulatory efficiency improved: Most activities are completed in this quarter; and international consultants completed their missions although some on-going activities such as RIA strategy and training of trainers. The main achievements include i) RIA Strategy has been drafted to propose to the government on establishing the RIA National Committee replacing the RIA Task Force; ii) capacity building for RIA Centre; iii) producing key documents for RIA training and awareness; iv) conducting training and awareness across sector national wide 3. Trade policy supporting SMEs development strengthened: Approval for the single-source-selection of the United Nations Food and Administration Office (UNFAO) was obtained and the Contract negotiation was conducted and signed in early April 2018 between the EA and UNFAO. |
