Project Data Sheet (PDS): Details
Description
The TA wil finance two studies: (i) rebalancing and sustaining growth in the People's Republic of China, and (ii) human capital development in developing Asia.
Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy
The R RDTA aims to support the establishment of research alliances between ADB and reputable regional and global research institutions and, through which, to undertake collaborative studies on selected development issues critical to inclusive growth and poverty reduction in developing Asia.
Impact
The impact of the proposed R RDTA is the more effective policy development and making in developing Asia and the participating DMCs.
Project Outcome
Description of OutcomeThe outcome of the proposed R RDTA is the improved understanding of key development challenges faced by the developing Asia and Pacific.
Implementation Progress
Description of Project OutputsThe R RDTA will undertake studies to improve understanding of (i) the PRC's challenges and policy options in rebalancing its economic growth, making growth more inclusive, and avoiding the middle income trap and (ii) developing Asia's challenges, constraints, and policy options in human capital development.
