The current three-year Medium Term Development Strategy (MTDS) for the Solomon Islands will be in use as a national strategic plan (NSP) until end of 2010. In November 2009, the Cabinet of the Solomon Islands Government recognized the need to continue with a five-year NSP. The cabinet endorsed that the Ministry of Development Planning and Aid Coordination (MDPAC) lead and coordinate the formulation of this national strategic plan in close consultation with stakeholders. Cabinet further endorsed MDPAC s request to ADB for technical support to the formulation of this plan.
