Project Outcome

Progress Toward Outcome The TA implementation is going to an end as a final report has been produced, based on five thematic reports. it has been gone through ADB's peer review and comments have been incorporated. A Final report dissemination workshop will be organized by the EA in April and policy notes included in the final report will be delivered to the provincial government for consideration.

Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues)

All five consultants have been recruited by ADB and commenced their work with inception reports preparation. EA has convened a meeting in July 2014 to evaluate the mid-term reports and after that, EA sent draft final reports to experts for comments in December 2014. The general final report was revised with incorporating more information and details based on ADB comments.

Currently TA implementation entered the last phase-final report dissemination workshop, which will be held in April 2015. Local government officials will attend to listen to the proposed policy note for the measures of promoting private investment.

The next step will be:

(1) EA will have the reports printed for the dissemination workshop;

(2) The dissemination workshop will be organized and local government officials will be invited, as the findings of the reports will be importnat for encouraging private investment with the support of an enabling environment in Shaanxi;

(3) Resource persons for the dissemination workshop will be invited as a Public-Private Partnership tranining workshop will follow the dissemination workshop.
