Activities

23-25 April 2014: Workshop on Tax Official Education held in Saitama, Japan

A group photograph with Mr. Daishiro Michimori, President of the National Tax College, Japan, who gave an opening address at the workshop.

The ADB organized a Knowledge Sharing Workshop on Tax Official Education on 23-25 April 2014 at the National Tax College in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The workshop was part of activities under ADB's technical assistance project to the Philippines for Supporting Capacity Development for the Bureau of Internal Revenue, and held in partnership with the National Tax Agency, Japan. Senior tax officials in charge of human resource management and staff training from Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Philippines shared knowledge and experiences on education and training for tax officials with a particular focus on new recruits, and discussed what is the best approach for developing an effective staff education and training regime.
