Description
The objectives of the TA are (i) to assist in the reduction of Delhi court congestion; and (ii) to contribute to the development of sustainable improvements in terms of delivery of anf access to speedy and quality justice in the Delhi courts in light of delays in the court system. The TA will do so by assisting the Government in carrying out a sector and diagnostic study of the legal and juducial sector, focused on Delhi courts, lawyers and citizens, through and independent empirical analysis of data from Government of India (GOI), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) and the courts, review of secondary analysis, surveys, workshops and consultations. This is designed to identify the systemic needs of the Delhi legal and judicial system in order to establish the foundation for an implementable pilot project.
