Description
The Program addresses the key policy, institutional, and organizational constraints to the effective and efficient functioning of agricultural activity and the sustainable use of natural resources. The Program includes specific reform measures to (i) develop a sound policy framework and establish efficient sector institutions, (ii) introduce management systems for sustainable use of natural resources, (iii) formulate sound programs for sector investment, (iv) improve the efficiency of sector support services, (v) improve the efficiency of agricultural commodity markets, and (vi) restructure state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
