| Date: | September 2011 |
| Country: | |
| Subject: | |
| Document Type: | Reports and Recommendations of the President |
| Project Number: | 43200-024 |
Description
Report and recommendation of the President to the Board of Directors describing terms and conditions proposed for the Bridge Replacement for Improved Rural Access Sector Project in Papua New Guinea, for the approval of ADB's Board of Directors.
The project will improve Papua New Guinea's two-lane national road network by replacing narrow temporary modular steel (or Bailey) and other deteriorated bridges with permanent two-lane structures. The reusable Bailey bridges will be reassembled on rural roads to improve access.
