Description

Technical assistance completion report for the Capacity Building for the ASEAN Surveillance Coordination Unit and Technical Support for the ASEAN Surveillance Process, describing expected impact, outcome and outputs, conduct of activities, evaluation and achievement of outcome, assessment and rating, major lessons, recommendations and follow-up actions.

The technical assistance is one of the three initiatives being undertaken by ADB to support the three institutional pillars of the ASEAN Surveillance Process (ASP): (i) the ASEAN Surveillance Technical Support Unit (ASTSU) based in ADB Headquarters; (ii) the ASEAN Surveillance Coordination Unit (ASCU) located within the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia; and (iii) the Technical Assistance for Capacity Building for ASCU and Technical Support for the ASP. The first initiative supports the training of ASEAN officials at ASTSU, while the second provides in-country support for the establishment of surveillance within selected ASEAN ministries of finance. The third initiative and the purpose of this technical assistance is to extend capacity-building assistance to ASCU in Jakarta.
