The proposed Economic Recovery Support Program (ERSP) is a program cluster of loans with two subprograms totaling $26.8 million equivalent. The program will support an expanded public investment program that will assist recovery from an economic slowdown linked to the global economic crisis and address reconstruction needs arising from the September 2009 tsunami. The program will simultaneously implement structural and governance measures that will strengthen prospects for sustaining economic growth over the medium term. Additional policy actions will help protect the vulnerable, safeguard Samoa's fiscal position, and facilitate communication and engagement with the private sector and civil society.
