Description
This technical assistance completion report for RETA 6461: Equity in the Delivery of Public Services in Selected Developing Member Countries, describes expected impact, outcome and outputs, conduct of activities, evaluation and achievement of outcome, assessment and rating, major lessons, recommendations and follow-up actions.
Rated highly successful, the TA delivered more outputs than expected, all of which were very well received by government officials, academe, and stakeholders. The TA developed methodologies for studying equity and efficiency in the delivery of public services, applied this to produce in-depth country studies, and provided policy recommendations to DMCs. Although the TA was implemented beyond schedule, this allowed sufficient time for the production, publication, and dissemination of additional knowledge products which not only raised ADB’s profile as a knowledge institution, but also contributed to policy development in DMCs.
