The Flour Fortification in Chakki Mills is a project designed to reduce iron deficiency anemia as well as folic acid and vitamin A deficiency in a population of about 200,000 in Nepal. The expected outcome of the project is the assessment of the feasibility, cost, and impact of sustainably providing flour fortification by adding iron, folic acid, and vitamin A to wheat, maize, and millet milled at small community mills (chakki mills).
