Description
The Forestry Sector Project (FSP) in Bangladesh was aimed at promoting social forestry through active community participation throughout the country. It was designed to complement the Government's efforts to increase the country's forest cover from less than 10% in 1995 to 20% by 2015,1 in line with the then country assistance plan of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government's priority focus under its fifth 5-year plan for 1997-2002.
