Description
This resettlement monitoring report for the period of April 2012 to November 2012, prepared during project implementation for the Gansu Baiyin Urban Development Project in the People's Republic of China provides the status of social issues and and implementation of mitigation measures.
The objectives of the monitoring embrace
- a better command of the social and economic situations in the involved communities
- analysis of the factors impeding the achievement of the objectives of monitoring
- identifying main involved groups, pushing ahead the programs involving them and analyzing their needs and Impacts
- revaluation of possible positive, negative Impacts and social risks
- inculcating social factors relevant to the of realization of the objectives of the programs, proposing resolutions for avoiding and reducing negative Impacts.
