Description

This provides the report and recommendation of the president for a proposed loan to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for the Gansu Urban Infrastructure Development and Wetland Protection Project for the approval of ADB's Board of Directors.

The project aims to promote socioeconomic development and improve the environment in Dingxi and Zhangye, two second-tier cities in Gansu Province of the PRC. It will support the rehabilitation and construction of urban infrastructure including roads, bridges, a water supply plant, water supply networks, sewerage and stormwater networks; the strengthening of urban management capacity in project cities; and wetland protection and management in Zhangye.
