Description
This paper is a technical assistance completion report for the Implementing the Samoa National Energy Policy project describing expected impact, outcome and outputs, conduct of activities, evaluation and achievement of outcome, assessment and rating, major lessons, recommendations and follow-up actions.
This technical assistance project is rated as successful, having achieved a majority of the targeted outcome and outputs envisaged in the TA design. The revised Electricity Act has been approved by Cabinet, the multi-sector regulator has been established (including the power sector) and the Clean Energy Fund has been established. The TA has also assisted to successfully implement a number of key recommendations of the Samoa National Energy Policy.
