Description
Report and recommendation of the President to the Board of Directors describing terms and conditions proposed for the Jaffna and Kilinochchi Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Sri Lanka, for approval of ADB's Board of Directors. The project's impact will be improved health and human development in urban areas of Jaffna Peninsula. The project will contribute to rehabilitating, reconstructing and developing areas affected by conflict. The project's outcome will be (i) improved water supply and sanitation infrastructure for residents and returning internally displaced persons in targeted urban areas, and (ii) improved protection and management of Jaffna Peninsula's water resources.
