Description
This regional technical assistance3 (RETA) proposes contributing to the understanding and measurement of the informal sector by (i) examining existing data collection strategies and identifying the most appropriate and sustainable strategy for DMCs; (ii) assisting DMCs in defining workable procedures in integrating data collected from the informal sector in the compilation of national accounts; and (iii) conducting data-intensive research on the relationship between poverty and the informal sector.
