Description
The PNG's National Transport Development Plan (NTDP; 2001-2010) sets out policies, strategies and investment plans for the transport sector. As the NTDP was coming to an end in 2010, the government started preparation of a successor document and requested ADB's support. The TA provided assistance to the Department of Transport in preparing a new strategy document that will guide future development of the sector and will continue to provide policy framework for the Highlands Region Road Improvement Investment Program (HRRIIP). This technical assistance completion report for the National Transport Development Plan (2011-2020) project in Papua New Guinea describes expected impact, outcome and outputs, conduct of activities, evaluation and achievement of outcome, assessment and rating, major lessons, recommendations and follow-up actions.
