Description

This Report and Recommendation of the President describes terms and conditions on proposed loans to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka for the additional financing of the Northern Road Connectivity Project. The report also describes proposed change in the associated technical assistance for Capacity Development of Northern Provincial Road Development Department, for the approval of the Board of Directors of ADB.

The project, together with the original project, will improve the road connectivity in the most conflict-affected area of the country, and help to restore access to basic social services and markets. An additional 110 km of national roads and 120 km of provincial roads in the Northern Province and the North Central Province will be rehabilitated.
