Proposed Policy-Based Loan: Financial Market Development and Integration Program
| Date: | August 2012 |
| Country: | |
| Subject: | |
| Document Type: | Reports and Recommendations of the President |
| Project Number: | 44252-013 |
Description
The report and recommendation of the president for the proposed policy-based loan to the Republic of Indonesia for the Financial Market Development and Integration Program describes the terms and conditions for the approval of ADB's Board of Directors.
To deepen the capital market, expand access to nonbank financing, and broaden the investor base and build momentum for capital market development, Indonesia's Capital Market and Nonbank Financial Industry Master Plan (CMNMP) for 2010–2014 provides a functional focus on increasing the linkages between the contractual savings subsector, the subsector dealing in funding arrangements that are compliant with Islamic sharia law, and the traditional capital markets. The program’s three outputs will reflect the primary objectives of the CMNMP.
