Description
This document provides the report and recommendation of the president (RRP) on (i) a proposed multitranche financing facility (MFF) and (ii) proposed administration of a grant to be provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB), both to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for the Power System Expansion and Efficiency Improvement Investment Program. The RRP describes terms and conditions proposed for the project for the approval of the Board of Directors of ADB.
The project impact will be increased energy sector contribution to low-carbon economic growth. This growth will be achieved through improved energy efficiency, productivity and competitiveness, and will create more jobs. The outcome will be increased access to a clean and reliable supply of electricity in Bangladesh.
