| Document Type: | Reports and Recommendations of the President |
Description
The proposed loan will fund a poverty intervention project with economic growth as its thematic classification. The objectives are to (i) expand the delivery of electricity from existing national hydropower stations as an important and necessary input to rural residents in Bhutan to improve their living standards, conditions for education, and health service delivery; and (ii) provide the rural poor with opportunities to increase their economic productivity, create and obtain jobs, and raise their income.
