Description
The primary objective of the Sixth Road Project was to support the Government's programs and policies for development of the national road network, particularly in less developed areas with poor levels of accessibility. In addition, the Project was to strengthen the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) by building its capacity in the critical areas of road safety, highway planning, and road maintenance; strengthening its capabilities for bridge design and project management; and training in road surface dressing techniques.
