Description

This technical assistance (TA) completion report for the Strengthening Local Chambers of Commerce and Industry along the East-West Economic Corridor to Promote Trade, Investment and Value Chains project describes expected impact, outcome and outputs, conduct of activities, evaluation and achievement of outcome, assessment and rating, major lessons, recommendations and follow-up actions.

The TA helped improve connectivity and promote competitiveness through the focus on developing value chains in cross-border trade for the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) dominating low income farmers; which in turn supported the ADB’s strategic agenda of inclusive and environmentally sustainable growth, and regional integration. It also served as a model for the development of an overall strategy and action plan by local governments along the EWEC for establishing value chains in organic vegetables.
