Description
The expected impact of the TA was the transformation of ADBN into a sustainable bank with enhanced RF outreach for significant poverty reduction impact by implementing the Restructuring Plan. The TA output was the enhanced CTI and RTCs to offer quality training services for the professional development of ADBN staff. The planned outputs were (i) an ADBN corporate plan including training plan, training materials, and operating materials covering various subjects ranging from credit appraisal, loan management, internal audit to accounting; (ii) training ADBN senior management and staff including training for trainers of CTI and RTCs for 100 senior staff and 500 operational staff of ADBN; and (iii) financial and operational review of Small Farmers Development Bank (SFDB) - an ADBN subsidiary and an apex bank of small farmers' credit cooperatives - covering detailed portfolio audit and diagnostic study, assessment of the quality of ADBN loan and investments in SFDB, and restructuring options along with the implementation plan for SFDB
